Description
This modern & luxury holiday cottage is located in the stunning riverside setting of Beagh Castle and gives you direct access to Shannon Estuary. You will not be disappointed with the surroundings being offered with the Shannon Castle Holiday Cottages as the castle, water and greenery create a beautiful mix!
We have two units of Shannon Castle Holiday Cottages Type C available for our guests. The colour palette may vary in each of the cottages.
Property layout – Ground floor:
- Open-plan modern kitchen
- Dining area
- Living area : the comfortable sofa opens and can sleep another adult or 1-2 children
Property layout – First floor:
- Bedroom 1: king-size sleeping & single sleeping 3
- Modern family bathroom with fitted shower, hand basin and WC
WIFI is provided (Netflix login option available) and towels are provided.
Communal utility room with a washing machine, iron and ironing board is available for our guests.
Enjoy stunning river and castle views from your private garden area - garden furniture is provided.
These holiday homes accept a maximum of 1 dog on request. Charges are payable on site to the Property Manager @€25. Reserve your dog at the time of booking via our call centre as your dog will not be accepted without prior confirmation.

This is an extra charge which is mostly payable to the Property Manager/Owner. In some cases, energy is charged at a fixed daily rate or a rate per unit on the units consumed or you are required to top up a Pre-Paid Meter while in others, energy charges are included in the rate you have paid. We advise you to check with the local Owner/ Property Manager prior to arrival how this is calculated or prior to making the booking.
2. Security Deposit:
A minimum refundable security deposit of €200 (per property) must be paid prior to check-in to your holiday home to the local Property Manager/ Owner. This is either taken over the phone by pre-authorising your credit card when you call the Property Manager to arrange your arrival time 48 hours in advance of arrival or at others it is taken on arrival. In some locations and at certain times of year this can increase to €500 per property.
3. Kayaks:
Kayaks are available upon request.

Lovely small cottage with a beautiful castle ruin in the backyard. We saw sea otters, hedgehogs, ravens, donkeys, goats, horses, ponies, and friendly dogs. The wood burning stove was awesome and made the place super cozy. Wifi was great for remote wosee more

Great place to stay - the owners were so welcoming and open but gave us our privacy as well. Highly recommend & would stay again :)

Shannon Castle Holiday Homes are beautiful, charming cottages with all modern amenities. Ideal for a family gateaway or for a business trip in Co. Limerick. Sitting room has a comfy sofa, smart TV connected with internet and a fire place. Internet speed is excellent and you can watch netflix / youtube etc. Kitchen is well equipped with fridge, microwave, cooker, oven etc. Central heating works very well and hot water available in basins and for shower 24 hours. Upstairs the bedroom has a nice comfy double bed and a single bed for child. Views from the cottage are amazing and the location of the accommodation is nice countryside where you can enjoy nature. Easy to get in and out of Askeaton which is the nearest town. It is also convenient to go to County Limerick, County Clare & County Kerry from this place. Owner Paul is a gentleman and will come and show you all the utilities etc. The accommodation block also has a common area with washing machine and dryer if you need to clean your clothes and is easily accessible all day. Overall, a great place for a weeks holiday when visiting Ireland.

This was a really fun and unique place to stay. Feels like it’s in the middle of nowhere but groceries, cafes and restaurants just 10-15 minutes away. Paul, the proprietor, was delightful and took us around the property to have a look at the grounds see more

They’re getting underway after just finishing building so a few nits to work out but really great couple nights there.

We spent eight memorable and very enjoyable days in a Beagh Castle Holiday Cottage. We know of no other holiday home where you can have breakfast in a garden with its own castle ruin, enjoy a stunning view on the river, and watch dolphins at the samesee more

When I was there, the last cottages were in progress, for me I like seeing things being developed, a bit of a restorations guy myself, but some may not like it. The proprietors will be finished soon and it’s a brilliant project!
