Clifden Countryside Holiday Home is set in a peaceful location a short drive from Clifden town (3km) in Galway. There are numerous walking and cycling paths available in the local area, including the Roundstone Bog Road cycling route, the Errislannan cycling route, and the Derrigimlagh Looped Walk.
Property Layout – Ground Floor:
- Kitchen: farmhouse style includes fridge-freezer, dishwasher, electric cooker, gas hob, microwave, electric kettle, coffee maker, toaster, and ample tableware and cookware.
- Utility room: equipped with a washing machine.
- Living and dining room: feature high ceilings, wood burning stove, large multi-channel TV, comfortable couches, large dining table and chairs, and cosy window seats.
- Second living room: featuring two futons which can be used as an additional sleeping area for younger guests only (aged 6 to 12 years only), by request only.
- Bathroom: includes a large shower area, WC, and sink.
- Bedroom 1: King en-suite bedroom with shower, sink and WC - sleeps 2
- Bedroom 2: Double bedroom - sleeps 2
The third bedroom, a spacious study space, and a mezzanine are located on the upper level, which is accessed via a staircase next to the dining area.

- Bedroom 3: Super-king en-suite bedroom with bath, shower, WC, and sink, sleeping 6.
- Mezzanine area: decorated with a desk and chair, providing the ideal workspace with lovely views.
A cot and highchair are available on request.
Central heated throughout by an oil heating system.

Heating, electricity and wi-fi is included in the rental price.
Smoking is not permitted.

There is a second living room which features two futons which can be used as an additional sleeping area for younger guests only. However this must be requested in advance at the time of booking. The age of the guests allowed to use the futons, 6 to 12 years only.
First Floor:
The first floor is not suitable for young children. A stairgate is in place and should be used to ensure that younger guests always remain on the ground floor of the property.
Heating and Electricity:
This is an extra charge which is mostly payable to the Property Manager/Owner. In some cases, energy is charged at a fixed daily rate or a rate per unit on the units consumed or you are required to top up a Pre-Paid Meter while in others, energy charges are included in the rate you have paid. We advise you to check with the local Owner/ Property Manager prior to arrival how this is calculated or prior to making the booking.
Security Deposit:
A minimum refundable security deposit of €200 (per property) must be paid prior to check-in to your holiday home to the local Property Manager/ Owner. This is either taken over the phone by pre-authorising your credit card when you call the Property Manager to arrange your arrival time 48 hours in advance of arrival or at others it is taken on arrival. In some locations and at certain times of year this can increase to €500 per property.
