Heyward Mews Holiday Home No. 2 is set in a peaceful setting close to Dublin Airport and Dublin city centre. While staying at our holiday accommodation in Swords you are ideally placed to explore Dublin city and the surrounding counties of Wicklow and Meath.
These conveniently located wheelchair accessible holiday home is set in a peaceful rural setting, adjacent to Roganstown Golf & Country Club. We do recommend that you have your own transport to explore Dublin city and the surrounding counties, as the closet bus stop is 3km away.
Property layout – ground floor:
- Open plan living room
- Dining room
- Well equipped kitchen.
- Bathroom: wet room with a fitted seat plus grab rails in the shower.
- Bedroom 1: single ensuite sleeping 1
Property layout - first floor:
- Bedroom 2: double ensuite sleeping 2
- Bedroom 3: twin ensuite sleeping 2
In the kitchen the fridge of the combined fridge freezer is positioned on the ground level and the freezer is located above the fridge. The sink, hob and oven are all positioned for a wheelchair user. On the ground floor the bathroom there is a wet room, with a fitted seat plus grabrails in the shower and at the sink.
French doors leading out to a patio area, perfect for relaxing or dining al fresco.
Plus, to the front there is a shared lawned courtyard area.
Wifi is available at the property.
Things to do in the local area:
- Swords Castle which dates from the 1200’s has been lovingly restored and takes centre stage in this bustling town. The castle was used in recent times as a location for the TV series The Tudors in 2010.
- Guinness Store House
- National Art Gallery
- Christchurch cathedral
- St Patrick cathedral
- Trinity College and the Book of Kells
- Kilmainham Gaol
- Shopping in Grafton Street or Powerscourt Townhouse
- Meath: beaches of Laytown & Bettystown (30 minutes’ drive)
- Belfast: less than 2 hours’ drive
This is an extra charge which is mostly payable to the Property Manager/Owner. In some cases, energy is charged at a fixed daily rate or a rate per unit on the units consumed or you are required to top up a Pre-Paid Meter while in others, energy charges are included in the rate you have paid. We advise you to check with the local Owner/ Property Manager prior to arrival how this is calculated or prior to making the booking.
2. Security Deposit:
A minimum refundable security deposit of €200 (per property) must be paid prior to check-in to your holiday home to the local Property Manager/ Owner. This is either taken over the phone by pre-authorising your credit card when you call the Property Manager to arrange your arrival time 48 hours in advance of arrival or at others it is taken on arrival. In some locations and at certain times of year this can increase to €500 per property.
3. Towels:
Towel sets are available upon request at a small charge. Please contact our Call Centre or the Property Manager to arrange (you will find the Property Manager's contact details at the Arrival Info document sent to you in the final payment confirmation).
4. Public Transport:
We do recommend that you have your own transport to explore Dublin city and the surrounding counties, as the closest bus stop is 3km away.

We were supposed to stay at home from home after requesting for over a year but home from home were not able to get their team together to make this happen. We ended up going with trident holiday homes who had a wheelchair accessible house. While wsee more

We ended up going with trident holiday homes who had a wheelchair accessible house. While we didn’t have access to all of the important medical equipment we would need for a long stay trident did a great job helping us out. I hope Muscular Dystrophy Ireland can get their management in order for our next trip.

This is PERFECT if you want somewhere to come home to after a day of traveling, visiting. This is not like a "amenity" filled home - but it is definitely worth the amount you pay. For example there is only 1 TV. It has all you need for cooking, etc. Anna was nice and responsive. If you are not familiar with Irelands electric or gas usage, I suggest you get all the clarification before when she checks you in. What is normal for them was not for us. |

I would only suggest figuring out why the TV glitches - hardly ever was I able to watch the same channel. One would work one day and not the next.

Yes there was a book with TONS of manuals, some appliances are no longer there...I would suggest making and keeping current cheat sheets on how to use things. Also, in the front upstairs bedroom there is a bird or mouse in the wall/ceiling that scratches and moves around all night. It was a GREAT trip!!! There are absolutely no complaints and I look forward to my next visit!!! Would definitely recommend and stay again! |

Booking conditions
From the booking date until 29 days before check-in, cancellation would have a penalty of 50% of the total price of the rent.
Cancellation policies
In case of cancellation the following charges will apply
From the booking date until 29 days before check-in
50% of the total rent
From 28 days before check-in until 15 days before check-in
75% of the total rent
From 14 days before check-in until 3 days before check-in
100% of the total rent
From 2 days before until check-in
100% of the total prepayment amount
No-show
100% of the total rent
