The harbour village of Roundstone is an ideal base from which to explore the wonderful ice-age scoured and lake-strewn Roundstone Bog. South of the village the crescent-shaped beaches of Gurteen and Dog’s Bay draw thousands each summer. Take a stroll through the town you’ll discover some fantastic craft shops and cafés. Roundstone is also the birth place and inspiration for many artists. Roundstone Arts Week is held annually over 2 weekends in late June and early July. The festival provides a wide variety of events such as writer's workshops, art exhibitions, traditional music sessions, drama and activities for children.
