This is a large country estate which is noted for its house and award-winning landscaped gardens, today occupying 19 hectares. Enjoy a coffee or a bite to eat at the Powerscourt Avoca Café, which must have one of the best views in Ireland across to the Great Sugar Loaf.
Mount Usher Gardens yet another award-winning garden is situated in Ashford village. This magnificent garden is spread out over 20 acres along the River Vartry. Established in 1868, this unique garden in Ireland as over 5000 plant species.
For fantastic family day venture to Splash Valley or Clara Lara Fun Park. Splash Valley is an aqua-park located in Hidden Valley Holiday Park in Rathdrum in County Wicklow. The 1,800-square-metre park includes some 30 obstacles arranged around a small, manmade lake. Cara Lara is located on 30 acres of beautiful countryside in the Avonmore River valley with tree houses, Tarzan swings, rope bridges, rowing boats, water slides, rafts, canoes and junior go-carts. You will love the breath-taking aqua shuttle - the biggest water slide in Ireland.
