This cluster of unique holiday accommodation is ideally situated on a working dairy farm plus as an added bonus the Owner also breeds horses at the farm too. Guests will love relaxing at this picturesque farm and admiring the farm animals from the comfort of their holiday cottage.

Located just 1 mile outside the fishing village of Kilmore Quay with many seafood restaurants serving local fresh fish, traditional pubs, children’s playground and beautiful beaches. It is the perfect coastal location for a seaside self-catering holiday in Ireland.

All of the holiday cottages are pet-friendly, making them the perfect holiday destination in Ireland for you and your pet. The surrounding countryside and seaside location make these holiday cottages an ideal base for a dog friendly holiday in Wexford.

Outside the holiday cottages is a patio area with garden furniture available for you and your guests to relax while taking in the distant sea views and Saltee Islands.

Kilmore Quay is a picturesque village located just 1 mile from Mill Road Farm Holiday Cottages. You and your guests will be spoilt for choice with a variety of seafood restaurants with fresh daily catch. There are also traditional pubs, a children’s playground, sandy coves and boat hire all in the beautiful fishing village of Kilmore Quay.

Things to See & Do in Wexford

Take a trip to the Saltee Islands which are situated 5km off the coast of Kilmore Quay in County Wexford. The larger of the islands The Great Saltee is famous with birdwatchers as the island is a sanctuary for so many different species such as the beautiful and very cute Puffin.

Walking the Ballyteige Burrow trail, one of the finest sand dune systems in the South East of Ireland. There are three trail options to choose from, along the beach, through the dunes or on the path by the fence that separates the dunes from the adjoining farmland. You will find an abundance of seabirds and wildlife around this nature reserve.

Things to See & Do in Wexford Town

A little further afield is the bustling town of Wexford with many shops, restaurants, stunning blue flag beaches and a wide range of activities. Located 5 miles north of Wexford town is Curracloe beach, one of the most popular beaches in Ireland. This fabulous beach stretches for over 7 miles with its soft fine sand it is the ideal location for sunbathers and swimmers. There are also a number of outdoor activities, such as surfing or beach horse riding. Kids will love the annual surfing camps run throughout the holiday periods.

A trip to the Irish National Heritage Park is a must on your visit to Wexford with over 9,000 years of Irish History waiting to be explored. The kids will love the two adventure playgrounds there and the many characters on display in period costumes. A fun filled day out on your next self-catering holiday in County Wexford.

Wexford Opera House plays host to the opera festival every Autumn. Every year the festival boasts an array of talented performers and will be sure to be treat for the eyes and the ears. This is just a sample of what is on offer in the historic town of Wexford.

Mill Road Farm Cottages - Pet Friendly Holiday Homes

This unique holiday cottage in Wexford will accept a maximum of 1 pet per cottage. Charges are payable on site to the On-site Manager @ €30 per pet. Please note that the garden is not enclosed. Please mention your pet at the time of booking via our call centre, as your pet will not be accepted without prior confirmation.

IMPORTANT NOTES

1. Heating and Electricity:
This is an extra charge which is mostly payable to the Property Manager/Owner. In some cases, energy is charged at a fixed daily rate or a rate per unit on the units consumed or you are required to top up a Pre-Paid Meter while in others, energy charges are included in the rate you have paid. We advise you to check with the local Owner/ Property Manager prior to arrival how this is calculated or prior to making the booking.

2. Security Deposit:
A minimum refundable security deposit of €200 (per property) must be paid prior to check-in to your holiday home to the local Property Manager/ Owner. This is either taken over the phone by pre-authorising your credit card when you call the Property Manager to arrange your arrival time 48 hours in advance of arrival or at others it is taken on arrival. In some locations and at certain times of year this can increase to €500 per property.
