Description
This modern & luxury holiday cottage is located in the stunning riverside setting of Beagh Castle and gives you direct access to Shannon Estuary. You will not be disappointed with the surroundings being offered with the Shannon Castle Holiday Cottages as the castle, water and greenery create a beautiful mix!
We have two units of Shannon Castle Holiday Cottages Type B available for our guests. The colour palette may vary in each of the cottages.
Property layout – Ground floor:
- Open-plan modern kitchen
- Dining area
- Living area: the comfortable sofa opens and can sleep another adult or 1-2 children
Property layout – First floor:
- Bedroom 1: king-size sleeping 2
- Family bathroom with fitted shower, hand basin and WC
WIFI is provided (Netflix login option available) and towels are provided.
Communal utility room with a washing machine, iron and ironing board is available for our guests.
Enjoy stunning river and castle views from your private garden area - garden furniture is provided.
These holiday homes accept a maximum of 1 dog on request. Charges are payable on site to the Property Manager @€25. Reserve your dog at the time of booking via our call centre as your dog will not be accepted without prior confirmation.

- Ballysteen Pier & Slipway: very popular for swimming & water sports. A group of friendly bottle-nosed dolphins are regular visitors and are amazing to watch.
- Ballynacourty Gardens
- Askeaton & its castle: 10-minute drive away.
- Flying Boat Museum & The Maritime Museum
- “Feile Laindeir”: the lantern festival held every autumn
- Stonehall Wildlife Park
- Adare Village
- Shannon Estuary Way
- Nevsail Watersports & Adventures
- West Coast Aqua Park in Killaloe & Kilrus
- Shannon Aviation Museum
This is an extra charge which is mostly payable to the Property Manager/Owner. In some cases, energy is charged at a fixed daily rate or a rate per unit on the units consumed or you are required to top up a Pre-Paid Meter while in others, energy charges are included in the rate you have paid. We advise you to check with the local Owner/ Property Manager prior to arrival how this is calculated or prior to making the booking.
2. Security Deposit:
A minimum refundable security deposit of €200 (per property) must be paid prior to check-in to your holiday home to the local Property Manager/ Owner. This is either taken over the phone by pre-authorising your credit card when you call the Property Manager to arrange your arrival time 48 hours in advance of arrival or at others it is taken on arrival. In some locations and at certain times of year this can increase to €500 per property.
3. Kayaks:
Kayaks are available upon request.

This cosy and bright cottage offers tranquil and comfortable self-catering accommodation in Ireland and sleeps comfortably 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children:Property layout – Ground floor:

Loved the location and atmosphere! A special place to get away from it all! The hosts live on the vast property and were very accommodating and helpful! We decided to take advantage of having a kitchen and cooked in one night, it had everything we nesee more

It was rainy and cold so we decided to start up the wood stove and it kept us toasty warm while we watched the dolphins swim by! Don’t see that everyday!

The location is stunning and the cottages are new, with a huge amount of work put in. Hosts Paul and Ann and family are on site and couldn't have been more accommodating and were very friendly and engaging throughout our stay. While some might feel isee more
The location is stunning and the cottages are new, with a huge amount of work put in. Hosts Paul and Ann and family are on site and couldn't have been more accommodating and were very friendly and engaging throughout our stay. While some might feel initially that it is remote, there is plenty to explore and see and do in the area, all close by. We loved coming back to the cottage in the evening to relax and take a quiet walk. There is also the coffee shop/cafe on site which looked great but we didn't manage to get in there. Maybe next time, as we would definitely return again. Thanks again for a wonderful stay.
