One of the oldest manmade structures in the world is located in County Meath. Newgrange, a stone age tomb, dating back to around 3200bc is even older than the pyramids of Egypt and one of the most mystical attractions to be seen in Ireland.

The round tower of Glendalough and the monastery of Clonmacnoise provide insights into the role of the church and Christianity in our culture.
